On a scale where 1 is Amazing and 50 is Really Really Amazing, I'm about a 42. In all earnestness, however, I might be pushing 50.
Ok, jokes aside for now at least. I'm pretty passionate about life and the world around me. I believe that every human being is beautiful and has something unique to teach us. I know that first impressions never show you the real person deep down and that we are all really looking to be happy and loved.
I am one of the luckiest people I know. I have a career that I absolutely love, a wonderful family and some amazing friends. I'm right and left-brain balanced. I did my undergrad degrees in Music Composition and English Poetry and then did a Masters in Science (Human-Centered Design and Engineering). I love understanding what makes people tick and how we can create technology that gets out of the way so that people can get to what they're looking for... the things that inspire us to be a better person. To go beyond what we think is possible.
I want to surround myself with people who give a damn. People who are inspired by the world around them. People who don't stop learning. People who are passionate about something. People who keep raising the bar when they meet a challenge. People who try new things just for the experience of doing something new and getting out of their comfort zone. People who care about their bodies: what they put in them and keeping physically active.
I'm recently out of a 6 year relationship. I can't commit to anything long term right now. I'm giving myself the space to be single and rediscover myself and redefine who I want to be.
Eventually, I'm looking for someone to share this journey with me. A very wise person once likened people to particles of dust. Sometimes they float by unnoticed. Sometimes they pass by, hover around for a little while and then drift off. And sometimes, they get stuck together for a while. Whatever category you fall into, I'm glad for the opportunity to call you a friend, lover, partner, or whatever else we become.
Where do you like to hang out? I love to hang out at Pony. I always end up running into friends or I make new friends.
I also love good beer. So Stumbling Monk, Brauwers and Feierabend are my favs there.
I love that the Eagle started serving Pike Place Brewing Co beers.
