Add It Up
I've been described as 60% broad and 40% lady- a bit brazen with a splash of sass and a sprinkle of charm. Don't worry, I'm presentable.
So I should warn you- I might burst out into song while walking down the street or bust a move in the grocery store aisle. I might say hi to strangers or smile just because it feels good. I might stay at home on a Friday night because (gasp!) I want to enjoy my own company. I might not answer the phone because I am too intent on finishing a book. I'll definitely bite my nails and wish I hadn't. And certainly I'll blush but try to hide it (futile effort). I'm a horrible liar but rumor has it this is a good thing. A smattering of things that make me happy: tea, rain, learning to play the guitar, my nephew's chubby cheeks, my cats purring, poetry, letters in the mail, leaves falling, hosting dinner parties, the cello, sushi, fresh clean sheets hot from the dryer, dimples, road trips, the color green, lazy Sundays in bed, the smell of books, dancing around my apartment to chase the blues away, the theatre, and finishing the crossword in pen. What makes you happy? I want to know. Hopefully you're not the type to avoid answering those types of questions. You're interested in sharing. You like to laugh. You have a sensitive heart and give great hugs. You impress me without even trying. You're confident without being cocky. You have a great smile and kind eyes. You might wear glasses (hubba hubba). You have integrity and character. You are smart and witty and passionate. When I am with you, I feel like my best self. I'd like that. Would you? Do a cartwheel. Sincerely, I've never done one. If I could change one thing about Seattle, it would be: How people are friendly but flaky. One movie everyone should see is: Fast Forward. It's the definitive dance movie of the 1980's directed by Sidney Poitier. It's wonderfully horrible in its awfulness. What bands do you always find yourself talking shit about? Coldplay. What the fuck with them? I don't get it.
