Shy, quirky, easy-going geek
I'm told I am an amalgam of Daria and Liz Lemon. I am very quiet with people I just met, but I can be very talkative and animated with my close friends. I am patient, generous, and extremely punctual. I am known to be honest to a fault. As I am quite introverted, I spend a lot of that time when others are talking by observing others. Add honesty to being observative, and you get someone who often calls people on their bullshit. However, I'm getting better at keeping my mouth shut when it's better to say nothing at all. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people don't adequately proofread their writing. I recently (summer 2011) underwent a major career change, and currently work on the website at a non-profit. Even more recently (summer 2012), I bought a 95-year-old house that I'm slowly fixing up. Here is a list of random things I love: Depeche Mode, cheese, Legend of Zelda, Weezer, Doctor Who, Archer, Game of Thrones (both the books and show), karaoke, The Golden Compass (the books, not the movie), mangos, Idiocracy, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Star Trek. You should be intelligent, considerate, honest, loyal, know how to have fun, and know how to relax and let things be.
What is something that people are surprised to find out about you? I once thought I could make a career out of doing cartoon voices.
How far will you travel to meet the right person? That depends... how right is this person? If he was like my epic soulmate that you only read about in books, I'd probably go anywhere short of into space. I don't think I can afford to reach escape velocity. So, anywhere on the planet. On an unrelated note, please check out my kickstarter campaign to fund my space flight. :P
What's something you want to do but haven't? I love to travel, but funds have been scarce the last ~5 years. Someday I still want to visit Australia, Thailand, South America, Italy, Greece, Germany, Sweden, Iceland, and go on an African safari. But I'd be down for visiting almost anywhere.
Who’s someone you’d like to be trapped in a confined space with? How confined, like a coffin? Are we running out of air? Or is this like an elevator situation? I always wanted to get it on in an elevator. But then again I also want to get out of this box. I bet MacGyver could get us out. So, um, how about MacGyver, sans mullet.
If I could change one thing about Seattle, it would be: An extensive subway system.
One book everyone should read is: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I first read it when I was 11 and I keep coming back to it.
Who would you like to play you in the movie of your life? Who would probably get the part instead? I'd love it to be Jennifer Lawrence. But it would probably go to Ellen Page.
If I could only eat one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be: Avocados.
