About me: I teach at a local college and parent my 2 sons, who live with me half time. I am currently writing my dissertation, which I hope to finish in one year. My passions include community arts and social justice work, pop music and film; and cooking among other things.
What I seek: Ultimately, I am in this to meet someone who is seriously interested in a committed relationship. I want someone to come home to- maybe cook some dinner, tell stories of the day, play a few covers, and have some laughs.
Who I seek: Someone who has been around the proverbial block and has done the reflection to gain some wisdom from those experiences. Emotional maturity, compassion, confidence, and joie de vivre are a must.
In the meantime however, new friends, good conversation and some snacks would be swell...
Where do you like to hang out? I love 15th Ave on Capitol HIll; The Station coffeeshop on Beacon Hill; learning my way around Lake City.
What kind of person are you attracted to? Funny and ironic yet compassionate; grounded, emotionally mature, and confident. Someone who can swim in the complexity of it all...
What's something you want to do but haven't? Travel to Turkey, Greece and Southern Spain.
If I could change one thing about Seattle, it would be: More sun.
One thing about Seattle I would never change is: how many communities there are devoted to so many specific activities like wooden boat building or balkan traditional dance.
If I could only eat one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be: challenging.
I consider myself an open-minded person, but my deal breakers are an inability to apologize and disrespecting my kids.
Something I learned from the last person I dated is age matters.
I want to make a t-shirt that says fandanguera.

When stuck in gridlock I sing along to KEXP.
One night stands can be educational and fun.
The quickest way to my heart is to talk in nerdy detail about your passions. The quickest way to my bed is to cook for me. And in the morning, I like my eggs cooked over easy with smoked paprika and sea salt with a side of greens.
The last show I saw was Morrissey at the Moore Theatre on Thursday and Nobuko Miyamoto at Washington Hall on Saturday.
Great sex calls for lots of chemistry and a spirit of adventure.
A fault my friends tease me about is swearing too much.
It's Sunday morning at 10 a.m. If I'm not still sleeping, I'm at the Fremont Sunday Market
