Curious, silly, excited, inquisitive, awesome!!!
The first thing anyone should know about me is that I am really active. Stagnation cripples me, so I like to keep a full schedule. I am a full time student and work full time, and this has left me with little time to meet new people and share ideas and thoughts about the world. I recently made a pie chart illustrating how much time I spend at working, playing, and loving. Including school, I am working about 90% of my life and I absolutely need to stop and add more to the play and love sections.
I've spent a number of years as a musician, surrounded by people who live, either deliberately or unintentionally, disengaged with the rest of the world. It became more and more apparent that it is essential for me to surround myself with thoughtful, multidimensional people who are unafraid to engage with life and it's possibilities. I know that for many that seems like an inevitability of existence, but I have encountered many who prefer not to think.
I'm currently finishing my bachelor's in psychology, but I am interested in all sciences, especially physics and earth science. I also love philosophy, cosmology, anthropology, global studies, and spirituality. I'm not religious, but I am fascinated by the transference of energy and hope to one day have an understanding the nature of it.
I have the kind of mind that is always plotting and scheming, and I would very much like to engage in stimulating conversations with others. I really am interested in everything, the more I know, the more I want to know. I want to talk about things I have considered deeply, such as the nature of existence, the human condition, ethic, religion, philosophy, as well as less controversial things like dinosaurs in space, humor, music, and movies.
The number one thing I am searching for is stimulating correspondence. I know there are like-minded individuals out there, and I am not going to find them by not putting myself out there. I am not closed to the development of a romantic relationship, but that is not at all my priority. I think it would be foolish to discount the possibility. If you also feel the need to share and expand your world through communication, send me a message and share with me.
What is something that people are surprised to find out about you? I have all the usual interests of the typical white male nerd and I actually read. Like for reals.
If you could have a dinner party and invite any 4 people, dead or alive, who'd be coming? W.E.B. Du Bois, Nikola Tesla, Samuel L. Jackson, and Confucius. That's a party.
Where do you like to hang out? At home, a coffee shop, a quiet bar. Somewhere where I can hear and see and sit comfortably.
What kind of person are you attracted to? Deep thinkers, fun seekers, and anyone who lives by passion. Anyone who has been labeled a weirdo.
How far will you travel to meet the right person? I'd like to believe that the "right" person will naturally encounter me as I go through my life along the path that feels right. That path can be riddled with switchbacks and sharp lefts. Sometimes that path winds through Europe and Japan. Wherever I am is where I am meant to be.
What's something you want to do but haven't? Express my feelings for a lady without punching them and running away.
