good humored, seasoned realist
I tend to think figuratively, in the sense that all things have a parallel and the most straightforward statement can be indicative of an idea that is not entirely obvious.
Writing an ad like this can only reveal so much about oneself, but here goes: The things that I consider essential to my well-being are (in no particular order) friendship, affection, body awareness, and music.
I regularly take the route away from the record shops because I am easily swayed. I spend my time away from home at parks, in the pub, or at a some kind of show. Be it visual, musical, or theatrical, the less conventional the better. I have a penchant for cerebral oddities. At home, I often find myself reading, mixing songs or just listening to them, cooking, dreaming and plotting my next move.
I'm look to spend some of my time with someone that likes to be close and open without dramatics or pretension. I'm easy to get along with as long as you're genuine and know where you stand and are willing to learn. I do and I am.
Oh, and it's a big plus if you are into cycling.
What is something that people are surprised to find out about you? I was raised in the Northwest. I don't meet the Seattle stereotype of passive or, erm, mellow.
Where are your local haunts? Elysian, Hopvine, Hideout, Stumbling Monk, Easy Street Records.
What kind of person are you attracted to? The strong minded, witty, collected, friendly, conscientious type. Oh yeah, hot girls too.
What's something you want to do but haven't? bicycle tour the West Coast, Canada and Western Europe
My radio dial is usually tuned to: Radio?? I usually forget. 94.9 or 88.5
If I could change one thing about Seattle, it would be: the dark winters
One book everyone should read is: The Raw Shark Texts
One movie everyone should see is: Tekkonkinkreet
If I could only eat one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be: Mama Lil's Peppers
I consider myself an open-minded person, but my deal breakers are drama and overt self-consciousness
Something I learned from the last person I dated is to listen to the voices in my head
I want to make a t-shirt that says Almost Superior
Something I said I'd never do but did anyway was date a girl I met while I was at work
My picture(s) reveal that I am a bit unpredictable
My idea of a great date is doing something both people haven't done before or going somewhere that neither has been to.
The first section I turn to in the Stranger is Last Days
When stuck in gridlock I look at the sky
My guiltiest pleasure is smoking cigarettes
Great sex calls for lots of improvisation and communication
A fault my friends tease me about is "my standards"
The quickest way to my heart is through honesty and authenticity The quickest way to my bed is with charm and wit And in the morning, I like my eggs cooked nevermind that, let's stay in bed!
The last show I saw was Atlas Sound
One night stands can be fun but skeezy
Talk about irony: I am optimistic yet a procrastinator
It's Sunday morning at 10 a.m. If I'm not still sleeping, I'm on my bicycle
When I die, I believe I will go out to sea
One sport I will never get is professional poker
